Homo Deus

So Sapiens was already a pretty life changing book. I had to drag myself through several pages, which was why I didn't immediately buy Homo Deus when I first came to know its existence. And then I just brought it on impulse one morning (an 8 second decision). Then the book arrived on June 5, 2017, and I was obsessed from the first paragraph. I ignored all text messages, friends, promises to clients, daily hygiene, life's responsibilities, whatnot to read it (I ate fairly well).

Mind was constantly blown and blown and blown again.

Had to stop every few paragraphs to take in its sheer beauty (the logic sequences, the word choices, the life changing insights, the interconnections of every sentence, the mastery of metaphors and analogies, the conjunction of subjects from heaven to earth). It achieved all of above while maintaining its easy readability. No paragraph was a bore. No paragraph was repetitive. Some paragraphs were biased/defensive (on fair treatments of animals and homosexuality). YNH is a master at blending subjects that has no obvious connections into valid arguments and sound insights.

Answered/concreted all my previous existential questions from pre-Sapiens reading period.

Also made me a better writer, critical analyst and even more of a calm, balanced, rational being.

Actually made me laughed on 31 occasions (Is it weird to laugh at nonfiction?)

Holy shit, this book was awesome. Holy shit, it was amazing.

Yuval Noah Harari, I bow down to you. Let me kiss your feet.
